  Tobias Lütke CEO
Tobias is CEO and co-founder of Shopify, the marquee shopping cart system of the e-commerce industry. As a programmer Tobi has served on the core team of the Ruby on Rails framework and has created many popular open source libraries such as the Typo weblog engine, Liquid and Active Merchant. As an internationally invited speaker, Tobi speaks on diverse topics such as startup building, utilizing open-source, and webapp performance. He maintains a popular tech weblog at too-biased.

Cody Fauser CTO
Cody is responsible for ensuring that Shopify is a robust, world-class e-commerce platform for thousands of online businesses.He is the lead author of Rails 3 in a Nutshell: A Desktop Quick Reference. He also wrote RJS Templates for Rails, the PeepCode ActiveMerchant PDF, and contributed to Advanced Rails Recipes. Cody enjoys participating in Open Source projects and is the sole maintainer of ActiveMerchant, the most popular payment processing library for Ruby.
Cody enjoys snowboarding, climbing, biking, and traveling when he is not hard at work on Shopify.

Daniel Weinand CDO (Chief Design Officer)
Born and raised in Germany, Daniel decided to study computer science and music at the University of Dortmund. With a passion for usability and interface design and his love for Ruby he makes Shopify a better and prettier experience. It is easy to get him excited about anything creative, may it be advertising, typography or photography.When he's not designing, he enjoys playing soccer, climbing, boardgames, coffee, and classical music. He is a contributor to the open source community and a published fashion photographer.


Harley Finkelstein CPO (Chief Platform Officer)
Harley Finkelstein is an entrepreneur & lawyer, who has an extensive background in startups and eCommerce. He started his first company at age 17, while a student at McGill, and has been building companies ever since. Harley completed his law degree as well as his MBA at the University of Ottawa, where he co-founded the JD/MBA Student Society and the Canadian MBA Oath. Additionally, Harley serves as a mentor and advisor to a number of Canadian-based entrepreneurial organizations, including OCRI & CYBF.His favorite past times include travel, tennis, spending time with his friends and family, and fine dining. He prefers the Blackberry to the iPhone, a ski hill to the beach, boxers to briefs, and scotch to beer. Harley blogs via superangel.ca.

Russ Jones CFO (Chief Financial Officer)
Russ is a Chartered Accountant with extensive industry and high tech experience in Canada, the United States and Internationally. His financial and operational experience, gained from time spent at both large companies and starts-ups, makes him well suited for keeping us fiscally sound as we continue on our hyper growth trajectory.When not looking after the beans, Russ likes to golf, travel, read and spend time with his family.

Toby Shannan Vice President, Revenue
Toby Shannan is responsible for securing and maintaining the growing base of happy Shopify customers. He has a proven track record of taking companies from idea to sales traction, and from sales traction to world beaters. He has founded, run and grown companies from California to Canada.When not in the office Toby is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with his family and four children as well as blowing off steam playing rugby and basketball.


Craig Miller Vice President, Marketing
Craig leads the Marketing team, responsible for bringing in more Shopify customers and helping our customer successfully market their own stores. Craig started his own affiliate marketing company while studying Electrical Engineering at McGill University and continued to run it for several years after graduating. In 2006, he joined the 3 person startup team at Kijiji.ca and, over the course of next five years, made it one of the top ten most visited sites in Canada.Craig's passions include entrepreneurialism, travel and dining with his wife, and strong Belgian beers.

Jeremy Cochrane Director,Sales&Client Relations
Jeremy was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. After completing a 3-year Business Diploma in Business Sales from Loyalist College he went to work for Xerox as a major account manager responsible for developing, and managing large corporate, and federal accounts in the Ottawa region. Jeremy has been working in the software industry for the last 4 years in a business development, and relationship management capacity.Outside the office Jeremy is an avid golfer, and enjoys working out and having an active healthy lifestyle.

Mike Rochon Head of Support
Mike heads the customer support team for Shopify, managing resources and ensuring communication between all support levels to provide world-class support for Shopify's customers.Armed with a natural ability for problem solving and a passion to see others happy, Mike was schooled in computer networking specializing in security and has a background in sales & support.Mike enjoys playing drums, billiards, and participating in video game tournaments. He also has a keen interest in science and physics on both the large (astro) and small (quantum) scale.
